ChampvaDoctors Connector

Lets an AI assistant find doctors, specialists and therapists who can bill CHAMPVA, in any US city, with names, addresses and phone numbers.

What it does

CHAMPVA is the VA health program for the spouses, surviving spouses and children of certain disabled or deceased veterans. It has no network: any provider who accepts Medicare assignment can bill CHAMPVA, and must accept the CHAMPVA allowable as payment in full. The hard part is finding them. This connector searches ChampvaDoctors.com's copy of the CMS Medicare provider file, refreshed monthly, for clinicians who accept Medicare assignment, in the city and specialty you ask for, and returns a short list with phone numbers, a link to the full list on ChampvaDoctors.com, and a tip for confirming with the office.

Claude (claude.ai, Desktop or mobile): open Customize, then Connectors, then add a custom connector and paste the URL. Once the connector is in the Claude directory, search for "ChampvaDoctors" instead.

Returns	Provider name and credential, specialty, practice, street address, phone, NPI, the total number of matches, and a link to the full city list
Data source	CMS "Doctors and Clinicians" national file (Medicare), filtered to clinicians who accept Medicare assignment

Good to know

Accepting Medicare means a provider can bill CHAMPVA. A private practice can still decline new CHAMPVA patients, so always call the billing office first.
Searches work city by city. If a small town has no match, try the nearest larger city.
